Winter Wedding Wonderland

Though the weather has warmed up a bit in my area making it feel more spring like than winter, I have rounded up some wonderful winter wedding inspirations for those who love the idea of getting married in the winter but want to think outside the Christmas-red-and-green-everything box.

Style Me Pretty winter wedding color pallets

Style Me Pretty has put together some beautiful color pallets for brides dreaming over a winter wedding date. From pure snow white to classic beauties like navy and (my personal favorite) emerald green.

Any  bride will quickly find out, flowers are expensive. Using elements from nature that can easily be found around your home, a nearby park or wooded area are not. A beautiful winter centerpiece can be created with the use of branches and twigs. Collect as many as you can and put them in clear glass vases in assorted sizes and shapes (taller vases tend to give the most dramatic look). Heighten the drama by bringing the icy outdoors in with ice-carved vases on your reception tables.

Practically Functional has put together a great DIY tutorial on making your own ice vases.

Winter cocktail hour calls for warm, comforting drinks. Classic hot chocolate and warm apple cider are always nice. To take it up a notch, serve up white hot chocolate and eggnog.

What are your favorite winter wedding elements?
