Carolina Wedding Venues

With today’s economy couples are looking for wonderful wedding reception spots that fit their budget. It is becoming increasingly difficult to have a “wow” wedding without going into debt. These venues are naturally great locations to host your wedding ceremony and reception or bridal shower at, however, they are also very affordable (some of them are FREE) making them a win-win for you and your future husband/wife. Take a look:

City parks and county parks. For example, the Asheville Botanical Gardens,  Greensboro’s Gateway Garden, and North Carolina Botanical Garden all have beautiful space available for ceremonies and receptions at a great rate.

Your own (or a relatives) home, if your home is large enough it makes a great option for elegant and simple affairs. Start your life where you’ll live! Be careful not to turn into a host, working at your own wedding! With that in mind, it’s a good idea to hire a wedding planner.

Local Bed and Breakfast options like Hawk and Ivy. They are a holistic retreat located in Western North Carolina. From elopement packages to intimate gatherings they have beautiful views with beautiful prices. Check out B&B Online for bed and breakfasts in your area.

The beach. Carolina beach is free (just need your wedding license). It is a public beach so expect possible wedding crashers but there are a couple spots that are less crowded than others that offer more privacy, if needed. Ocean Isle Inn (about an 1.5 hour ride away) offers privacy with minimal cost.

The Blue Ridge Parkway has several spots along its route that offer breathtaking views of the mountains and privacy to say your vows. (I recently met another event planner who did this for her very intimate wedding, she said she wouldn’t have had it any other way!)
