The Sanders Ridge Winery is a family run business. A beautiful spot hidden along the Yadkin Valley that offers award wining wines in addition fabulous and unique southern cuisine from their own organically grown vegetables and herbs. They also use other locally sourced foods.
The Executive Chef, Christian, owns/manages the Hearth Restaurant at Sanders Ridge. His cooking style is Classic European with a strong Carolinian and Modern American influences. His menus change by the season using organically grown vegetables and other local products as often as possible.
My time spent there this past weekend was just lovely. The staff were over the top accommodating with set up inside and outside, the flow from cocktail hour to each course throughout dinner was seamless. Chef Christians food was mouthwatering. I took a leap and tried duck for the first time ever. I was not disappointed. (My picture does not do it justice, I apologize my phone camera is cracked..)
Outside there is a peaceful, small lake with a rustic gazebo adorning its shore. Unless it is winter, it is a wonderful location for an outdoor wedding ceremony. The restaurant is open to the public, Thursday-Saunday, as well as available to rent for weddings, birthdays, and other social gatherings.
