Earth Day Play

Recently I put together a post to celebrate Earth Day every day of the year by reducing waste for all of your social gatherings. Today I wanted to share some ways to get your children excited about reducing waste and being kind to this beautiful home we call Earth.
I think the easiest way to build excitement and awareness is reading books. My son loves to snuggle while we read books about various topics. Here are a few I found interesting:

Learn about recycling from a new perspective with The Adventures of a Plastic Bottle: A Story About Recycling!

In Earth Day: An Alphabet Book, the wonders of nature arise from the page, reminding readers that every day is a reason to give thanks.

Discover how to reduce, reuse, recycle, and more with Tyler and Trina in the Planet Protectors Earth Day Every Day.

What If Everybody Did That? uses humorous illustrations to answer these questions in a child-friendly way.

I Can Save the Earth!: One Little Monster Learns to Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle educates children on what they can do to be more eco-friendly.

After reading this interactive, informative books find ways to reuse items around your house that typically ends up in the trash with this fun crafts and games! Don’t forget to serve up some fun, delicious snacks, too.
