Teacher Appreciation Week 2017

Since 1984, National PTA has designated one week in May as a special time to honor the men and women who lend their passion and skills to educating our children. This year Teacher Appreciation Week is May 8-12, 2017. Being married to a teacher, I can’t wait to #ThankATeacher with you!

I know from personal experience that teachers deliver so much to our students they inspire, motivate, teach and essentially help mold their futures. My husband puts in so much extra time to ensure his students succeed in life. Teachers around the world change the lives of millions of children every day, and their work and impact extends far beyond the boundaries of the classroom. This week please take a moment to celebrate the teachers in yur child’s life and deliver your thanks and gratitude to them.

Are you stumped at how to best show your gratitude? To help you thank the teachers in your lives for delivering so much, I’ve put together a few ideas that you and your children can show you care. Enjoy!

All teachers love school supplies! It minimizes the need for them to spend the already not enough funds they make to provide a fun learning environment. Ideas include: clipboards, pencil sharpeners, dry erase markers, sticky post it notes, colored card stock, binder clips, magnets, and command hooks.

With the surplus of schools supplies, gifting an organizer or plastic caddies will be gold!

Have your child sign and present handmade thank-you cards to their teachers!

On Thursday, upload a #TBT of you and your favorite teacher and thank them using the official hashtag #ThankATeacher.
